Golden Hawks earn 1 Gold and 2 Silver in Weekend Tournaments

The Forest Glenn PeeWee C team won the championship game of the Kitchener Fallfest Tournament in overtime against the Petrolia Oilers. The Golden Hawks had to battle back in the game after giving up an early goal. The win capped off a weekend where the team was a perfect 4-0 and only gave up one goal all weekend. The competition was tough, and all games were very glose
The JWG/State Farm PeeWee B team also made a final game in the Kitchener Fallfest tournament. The were defeated by the host Kitchener Lady Rangers 3-1 in the final. The Golden Hawks controlled the third period of the game to make it very interesting but could not get any more goals to get past the
The Arborvalley Midget C team took a perfect record into the finals of the Barrie Sharkfest against Tiverton. The teams decided it in the shootout after the game was tied after regulation and overtime.

The enthusiasm, support and countless hours each volunteer provides to their local team and the League is overwhelming and commendable! The volunteers of the GGHA truly provide the fans, teams and players with a first-class experience at each and every game. The GGHA could not operate without each and everyone of these individuals.
